Ghana and the DR Congo separated on a 2-2 draw in their opening Group B game of the 2013 Orange Africa Cup of Nations in Port Elizabeth on Sunday.

The Leopards would be more pleased with the point than the Ghanaians after coming from two goals down to snatch a point.

After yesterday’s goalless opening matches, the Orange Africa cup of nations 2013 continues this Sunday with Ghana and the Democratic Republic of Congo clashing in their group B opener. Kick off time for the encounter is 17h00 at the Nelson Mandela Bay stadium. The Black Stars have had a wonderful build-up to the finals with team captain Asomoah Gyan appearing in top form. Led by coach, Claude Leroy, Congo had a difficult build up with players refusing to train two days to the competition for unpaid bonuses. They will likely count on the good experience of Leroy. DR Congo have won the nations cup twice (1968, 1974) but have failed to make it out of the group stages since 2002. Meanwhile, Ghana have won the title four times with underachieved in recent years having last won it in 1982.
The second match will pitch Mali against Niger later in the evening.
