Orange AFCON 2013 : Guilherme Afonso makes Angola’s final cut
FC Vaduz (Liechtenstein) striker, Guilherme Afonso is set for his Africa cup of nations debut as he has been named in Angola’s final 23-man squad.
The list was made public by team coach, Gustavo Ferrin yesterday at a press conference in Johannesburg, South Africa. Guilherme who won two caps for Switzerland at U-21 level will be playing beside 29-year-old Manucho who is also part of the show. The 2013 Orange Africa cup of nations kicks off January 19 in South Africa and the Palancas Negras were drawn in group A alongside Morocco, Cape Verde and the hosts.
Angola 23-man squad
Goalkeepers: Lamas, Landu and Neblu.
Defenders: Amaro, Bastos, Dani Massunguna, Fabricio, Lunguinha, Marco Airosa, Mingo Bille, Pirolito and Zuela.
Midfielders: Dede, Gilberto, Manucho Dinis, Manuel and Miguel.
Forwards: Djalma, Geraldo, Guilherme Afonso, Manucho, Mateus and Yano.
