Malawi have named a 20-man squad for Saturday’s 2014 World Cup qualifier against Namibia in Blantyre.
Interim coach Edington Ng’onamo would be hoping to stamp his mark in his first game in charge, in order to secure the job permanent basis by June.
He has therefore recalled Midfielder Fischer Kondowe into the squad, almost two years after being sidelined by former coach Kinnah Phiri for indiscipline.
However, first choice goalkeeper first choice goalkeeper Simplex Nthal has been left out of the squad after fracturing his leg at the weekend while training with his Mozambican side Liga de Malcumana.
