DR Congo: 2013 Afcon qualifiers; Le Roy expresses optimism

 He was speaking last Tuesday at a press conference in the headquarters of the Congolese football federation (Fecofa). The French coach said after their 4-0 first leg win against Seychelles, they must ensure the greatest performance at home during the return leg match. While deploring the means available which are not very encouraging, he pointed out that a national team is a patrimony to preserve.  Mr. Le Roy stressed on the need to professionalize local players, reason why he grouped the national team into various categories. Announcers and advertisers, he said also play significant roles in the promotion of the teams.

Concerning the 2014 world cup, the coach acknowledged the intensity of work needed for their six forthcoming qualifying encounters. Therefore, he said victory will only come from collective discipline on the part of players, complete efficacy, serenity and the conditions in which the entire team will be put.
