The Kenya Premier League(2013) new season  kick off has been pushed yet again from February 16th to February 24th.

The decision was reached after league sponsors Supersport felt they
would not have enough time to promote the Super Cup and League
kick-off since the ongoing African Cup of Nations will take up a bulk
of their time close to the start of the campaign.

Subsequently. the SuperSport/DSTV Super Cup match scheduled for
February 9th 2013 between Tusker Premier League 2012 champions Tusker FC and FKF Cup champions Gor Mahia has been moved to Saturday 23 February 2013 at Kasarani Sports Complex.

This is expected to be a nail biting encounter  after the two sides
settled for a one all draw in their last year’s encounter which the
Brewers won 4-1 via post match penalties.

Both team’s will also use the match as preparation for their
continental duties.

Tusker have been entered  in the CAF Champions
League while Gor Mahia will plunge yet again in the CAF Confederations
Cup where they will face off with Seychelles Anse reunion in the
preliminary rounds.

Gor Mahia will host the side in any date between 15-17 February 2013
in the first leg before traveling for an away fixture two weeks later;
on 1–3 March 2013.

The Brewers are also set to defend the first tier trophy for a second
time after successfully retaining it at the close of last season.
