Kenya’s AFC Leopards & Gor Mahia spend big in January transfer window

After the close of the Kenya Premier League (KPL) transfer window on January 31,AFC Leopards  new signing Patillah Omoto and Gor Mahia latest acquisition Paul Kiongera remain  the two highest valued players after  signing a transfer fee of Kshs 400,000(Approx.US $4,652)

Their former club’s Kariobangi Sharks  and Kenya Commercial
Bank(KCB) will be rubbing their hands with glee after pocketing the
amount in what can be described as a big kill.

The third highest prized player is former Sony Sugar and Under 20
striker Enock Agwanda from Sony Sugar who has joined Sofapaka FC.

The stocky player signed a transfer fee of Kshs 300,000(Approx.US $ 3,489)

He is  followed by former Western Stima stopper Jackson Saleh who
accepted a transfer fee of Kshs. 265,000 (Approx US $ 3,082) before
pledging his allegiance to AFC Leopards.

Other players who have reaped heavily in the just ended transfer
exercise is former Nairobi City Stars attacking midfielder David
Kingatua with a transfer fee of Shs.200,000 after joining Thika United.

Others are former Sony Sugar striker  Ismail Dunga(Shs.180,000) to
Tusker and his new team mate at Tusker Moses Arita from Thika United
who will smile all the way to the Bank  with a  cool Shs.60,000.
