Mali: Giresse denounces Femafoot
The former coach of the Mali national football team, Alain Giresse has rejected the information about the renewal of his contract made by the vice president of the country’s football federation, Moussa Konate. The French coach was speaking at a press conference earlier this week during which he confirmed his disagreements with Femafoot. These problems result from three points notably; the validation of players by the federation, the suspension of Giresse’s communication allowance (500 000FCFA) and the replacement of the medical staff by locals. Alain Giresse said he has not rejected the renewal of his contract with the Eagles of Mali but that he was not satisfied with various decisions taken by Femafoot. It should be recalled that the French has been already replaced by Amadou Pathé Diallo of Mali.
