Morocco to face Niger in pre-Afcon friendly
Morocco and Niger will play a friendly on December 12 as a build as the build up to their 2012 Africa Cup of Nations campaign, the Moroccan Football Federation announced on Monday.
The match that will be played at the El Abdi d’El Jadida stadium will see coach Taoussi use an experimental side composed only of home-based players as he continues building a Moroccan squad that can challenge for trophies.
The game will be Taoussi’s second friendly after they suffered a shocking one nil defeat to Togo earlier this month in another friendly.
The Moroccans have been drawn in Group A alongside hosts South Africa, newcomers Cape Verde and Angola.
Niger on their part are drawn in Group B alongside Mali, the DR Congo and Ghana.
