Nigeria: NPL sanctions Sharks
They have been asked to pay the sum of about 19 000 US Dollars but this fine awaits the ratification of the NFF.
Sharks will also play their home games behind closed doors till further notice and cover all medical expenses of all the Ocean Boys’ players and officials who were injured at the incident.
NPL spokesman Emma Njoku issued a statement saying the fine must be paid before May 9 if the NFF ratifies the decision.
"We’ve issued a preliminary sanction that the NFF disciplinary committee will have to ratify," Njoku told BBC Sport. "They could pronounce further sanctions or ratify the punishment already meted out to the club. "It will go through a normal investigative process, hopefully after covering all areas their decisions will be made known."
