Nigeria’s Flying Eagle leave Toulon Tournament without a win

Nigeria’s Flying Eagles are leaving the Toulon International Tournament without a victory after losing their last tie 1-2 yesterday against their Portuguese U21 counterparts.

Portugal who were more offensive shook the net twice before a Nigerian reducer by Ejike at the 79’.  Alves opened scores for Portugal at the 56’ from the penalty spot while Pereira doubled 12 minutes later.

The Eagle will have the opportunity to take their revenge on Portugal in June 21 during their group tie in the U20 World Cup in Kayseri, Turkey.

In this tourney that will oppose Brazil to Colombia in the final, Nigeria lost two games and drew two. They bowed 2-0 in their first outing to Brazil and drew 1-1 in their games against Belgium and Brazil.

The third place playoffs shall oppose the second in Group A, France, to the Second in Group B, Brazil June 8 at 13:30 GMT while the final will come up two hours later.
