Rwanda’s Amavubi held to a 2-2 by Uganda Cranes in Kigali
Gor Mahia striker Dan Sserunkuma proved his Uganda critics wrong after scoring Uganda Cranes second goal in their 2-2 draw with the Amavubi Stars of Rwanda at the Amahoro Stadium in Kigali.
Said Kyeyune gave Uganda Cranes the match opener after 29 minutes from a goal mouth melee to silence Rwanda cheering fans. But the lead changed hands at the stroke of halftime through Medie Kagere, who weaved past two Uganda defenders to place the ball home to send Rwanda fans into a frenzy to make first half goals at 1-1. Cranes went ahead to claim the second goal in the 68th minute, from a penalty kick through Sserunkuma.
