Rwanda’s Amavubi Stars invite Uganda Cranes on Feb 6th

THE Rwanda national football team, Amavubi Stars, have invited Uganda Cranes for an International friendly match.
The match is set for February 6 at the Amahoro Stadium in Kigali,
Rwanda will use the clash to gauge their readiness for the 2014
World Cup qualifiers where they are scheduled to face off with Mali
in Kigali on March 22.
A top official in the Rwanda Football Federation (Ferwafa) who
spoke on conditions of anonymity said arrangements pertaining to the
eagerly awaited clash are almost ready.
Ferwafa officials are set to meet their financier, the Ministry of
Sports and Culture, to decide on whether the government will meet all
expenses for the Uganda Cranes team.
Uganda Football Association Communication and Publicity officer,
Rogers Mulindwa, confirmed he was aware about the match but declined to give more information.
While Rwanda will be at home to Mali on 22 March, Uganda will be
away to Liberia for third round World Cup qualifiers from their
respective groups.
