South Africa coach Gordon Igesund has named his squad for the international friendly against Malawi on December 22.

Igesund who hopes to build a competitive squad for the 2013 Africa Cup of Nations hosts has handed first calls to Ayanda Patosi of Belgian side Lokeren and Orlando Pirates goalkeeper Senzo Meyiwa.

The game against Malawi will be the first of three friendlies for Bafana Bafana before the Afcon kicks off on January 19.

The hosts have been drawn in Group A alongside Angola, Morocco and debutants Cape Verde.
