Tanzania-Cameroon international friendly: Song to hit the ground running
Cameroon international mid-fielder, Alexandre Song, will arrive Tanzania on Wednesday February 6 and head straight for the National Stadium in Dar es Salaam to join his teammates in the friendly clash with the Taifa Stars of Tanzania.
The Cameroon contingent will be arriving in batches from different parts of the world. Achille Emana of Al Ahly (UAE), Valencienne striker, Vincent Aboubakar and goalkeeper, Charles Itandje, who plays in Greece, including former Lion and now team manager, Rigobert Song, are already in Tanzania while another group led by team captain and Anzhi striker, Samuel Eto’o, are expected to fly in today.
The February 6 international friendly will enable both teams warm up for their respective upcoming 2014 World Cup qualifiers in March which will see Tanzania take on the Atlas Lions of Morocco while Cameroon will face Togo.
In other international friendlies billed for the same day, Kenya will clash with Libya while Rwanda will host Uganda.
