Tanzania’s Yanga jet out for Turkey
Tanzania’s “Old horse” Shadrack Nsajigwa is among 27 players and seven officials of Young Africans(Yanga) who jet out tomorrow (Monday) for a two-week’s training camp in Turkey.
The team will use the trip as part of their preparations ahead of the second part of the Tanzanian Mainland premier league and International matches.
Nsajigwa 36, is considered perhaps the oldest and experienced player in the squad that won the East and Central Africa champions last year.
Other key players include Zanzibar born Nadir ‘Carnavallo” Haroub, Kelvin Yondani, Athumani Idd, Frank Domayo, Nurdin Bakari and Simon Msuva.
Also in the trip is Rwanda National soccer team Amavubi Captain Haruna Niyonzima, Kabange Twite, and Uganda import Hamis Kiiza among others.
This is the first camp for a Tanzanian club in Europe in nearly 40 years. Yanga and Simba camped in Romania and Poland respectively in early 1970s while Pan African later visited Brazil in 1979 and Simba did the same in 1982.
Upon arrival in Turkey, the team will head to a planned camp in Antalya town, located in the south of the country, which is likely to be warmer than northern parts.
The team will be accommodated at Sueno Beach hotel facing the Mediterranean Sea which has two training grounds.

Attacking midfielders- Haruna Niyonzima, Kabange Twite, Nurdin Bakari, Athumani Idd, Frank Domayo, and Omega Seme, Saimon Msuva, Rehani Kibingu, David Luhende, Nizar Khalfani .
Strikers – Hamis Kiiza, Didier Kavumbagu, Said Bahanunzi, George Banda, Jerson Tegete .
