Traore lands coaching job at AS Kaloum
Former Teranga Lions trainer, Amara Traore, has landed a coaching job at Guinean side, AS Kaloum after he was fired in 2012 as Senegal national team’s head coach for failing to guide the team to Afcon 2012 that was co-hosted by Gabon and Equatorial Guinea.
The former Senegalese player and ASC Linguere trainer, said he was delighted to coach as the local club’s officials presented him to the fans.
“I’m very happy to be in Guinea. I will do my best to bring more success to AS Kaloum, through my methods and hard work,” he told the press.
The Senegalese tactician replaces Coach Pele Diop as the club had already started to slip in performance with just 13 points in eight outings.
AS Kaloum Sporting Director, Aliou Tourey refused to comment on the 47-year-old trainer’s salary.
