Uganda coach wants Sweden based duo in the Cranes squad

Bobby Williamson

Massa turns out for Vasalund IF in the Swedish Division One league. The scottish tactician is  also impressed with Martin Mutumba. Subsequently, Williamson has pleaded with the Federation of Uganda Football Association (FUFA) to secure a Ugandan passport for the duo. Williamson returns just in time to summon the squad for the 2014 World Cup qualifier against Senegal next month and the return leg of 2013 Nations Cup qualifier against Congo. Uganda lost the first leg 3-1 away in Brazaville in February.   Williamson went to Sweden last week to watch the two players and report to the football federation his assessment as far as the national team is concerned.  Massa is a 20-year old fleet-footed player, who by his own revelation, started playing football at the age of five. Although his fast pace and good crosses from either flank make him stand out, Massa also loves to play in the lead striker’s role. He was the top scorer in Sweden Division One league with 18 goals last year.
