Syn (Ghana)

He used to sing hit pop songs in high school like everybody else and even though he was always told he had a nice voice he never thought of pursuing this calling talent. He was known for his active involvement in student politics in high school and many are still waiting to hear in the future that he might be running for president. His personal friends knew his ability to create movies and tell it like it already existed sending people to the film market for a movie they would never find. This ability also raised expectations from friends of his involvement in the movie industry which would happen.

Born in Ghana in 1984, Syn can’t remember any exposure to musicians. his only exposure to music was radio and music his mum used to play. He later in high school discovered that he could create his own music but failed to take it seriously. Six years ago Syn’s cousin walks in with friends who wanted to record a song for a showcase in school, they had everything going except for a catchy hook. They burst into laughter when Syn offered to help but were speechless when they heard the hook he came out with. Syn’s cousin then forced him to a studio where he recorded his first demo. It was at this period that Syn realized that there was one place in the world where he was a human being, where he could feel God through creativity where he appreciated life, where he could breath, where he saw the need to pray, where he was fulfilled.

Since then he took music seriously and built on his ability. He believes even now that he hasn’t achieved half of his ability and knowledge yet so he still learns from anything and everyone.

The name Syn is a greek word that means fusion and he does put together different genre of music. However, Syn doesn’t intend to take over the industry or be the best there is he just wants to share his art with the world.
