Dakar to host 2014 World Cup qualifiers last round draws
The drawing of lots in the last round of the 2014 World Cup qualifiers for Africa is scheduled to be held on 16 September 2013 in Dakar, the African Football Confederation (CAF) disclosed at the end of its two-day executive meeting in the Egyptian capital, Cairo.The venue due to host the ceremony will be unveiled later on, CAF’s officials said.
The first round of the qualifiers is going on. The last three days are due to be played between early June and early September.
The teams which will lead their group at the end of the first round will engage in play-off scheduled for mid-October 2013 for the first leg and for mid-November for the second leg.
Only five African teams are due to participate in the final tournament in Brazil.
