Illegal Congolese migrants deported from Angola

At least 100 Congolese nationals have been deported from Angola’s Zaire province for illegally entering the country, according to the Angolan Press Agency (ANGOP) on Tuesday.Quoting a spokesperson for the Migration and Foreigners Department (SME), ANGOP said the illegal immigrants from neighbouring Democratic Republic of Congo were repatriated from Soyo district in the province at the weekend.

The SME spokesperson said the illegally immigrants were detained following a police operation guided by the local commander of the National Police, Commissioner Manuel Gouveia.

According to him, the foreigners were intercepted in Kimbumba and Kikala Kiaku neighbourhoods in Soyo.
