Mozambique´s national football squad, “The Mambas” left Maputo on Friday to honour the second leg of the African Nations Championship, CHAN qualifiers against Namibia. The Mambas are holding a 3-0 advantage ahead of the clash in Windhoek on Sunday.

The Mambas´ youthful coach Joao Chissano had invited all the eighteen players who were in camp last week as Mozambique look to beat the Brave Warriors of Namibia.

Should they qualify into the net round, the Mambas will face Angola in a two-legged playoff in the last week of August.

Mozambique was on the rampage last week at home to Namibia and convincingly thrashed the warriors 3-0.

The CHAN finals, billed for next year in South Africa, are played between the best national teams of Africa, exclusively featuring players in national championships.

Expatriate players, regardless of where they play, even in Africa, may not qualify to take part in the African Championship of Nations.
