2012 Olympics: Cameroonian athletes to train in Aberdeen

Cameroonian athletes who have qualified for the 2012 Olympic Games to take place in London embark on a familiarization training camp July 2 in Aberdeen (Scotland). The information has been released by the country’s minister of sports and physical education, Adoum Garoua. After thie session, the athletes will move to London July 27 to take part in the opening ceremony of the games that end August 12. Meanwhile, some athletes who benefited from the grants of the Olympic solidarity have been training in Europe, and some African countries like Senegal and Algeria. About 30 Cameroonian athletes have grabbed their qualification ticket for London 2012 in female football, athletics, boxing, judo, wrestling, swimming, table tennis, weight lifting and rowing. The country stands a chance to qualify more athletes at the Africa athletics championships to take place in Benin next month.
