Matchday three fixtures of the 23rd edition of the Men’s Handball Championships hosted by Spain take centre stage today.

There will be an All-African tie in Group D between Algeria and Egypt, while the other African team involved, Tunisia will face Montenegro.

After klosing their  two previous games versus the powerful European teams, Algeria and Egypt will try to get two points to reach the Last 16.

However, with the latest statistics in the tournament so far Egypt seem to be favourites as they have been able to impose their game style in their previous encounters despite losing out.

On their part, Tunisia who are the surprise package of the tournament will be seeking to get a win against Montenegro that will see them edge closer to the last 16.

After slightly losing out to France on matchday one, the Tunisians bounced back to produce a major shock in the tournament as they defeated one of the tournament favourites Germany in their second game.

Tunisia will be buoyed by the fact that they are the only team alongside Macedonia with two of their players among the top ten goal scorers of the competition; eft and back players Amine Bannour (7th with 13 goals) and Wael Jallouz (9th with 12).
