7.World athletic day: 17th edition for May 12-13, twelve youth invited to Spain

The IAAF has called on it partner federations to center the theme of the event on “environmental protection.”

This year also marks the 100^th anniversary of the IAAF which will be celebrated in Barcelona, Spain, from November 23 to 24. To mark the event, the IAAF has said it shall invite a boy and girl( aged between 16-17) from all the six continents to take part in the ceremonies.

The selection of the 12 “lucky” invitees will be done by draws next July.
