Algeria: MB Béjaia wins women’s volleyball championship
MB Béjaia has won the Algeria national women’s volleyball championship after beating Groupement Sportif Pétrolier 3-2; (10-25) (25-19) (24-26) (29-27) (15-12). The ladies of GPS took the first set but failed took keep the iron burning as MB Bejaia equalized shortly. GPS also won the second set but committed many errors that allowed their counterparts to equalize once more in the fourth set. MB Bejaia mounted pressure during the tie-break and won 15-12 to grab the title. While qualifying the win as hard-fought, the captain of MBB, Narimane Madani dedicated their trophy to the entire population of Bejaia.
