Initially billed from June 2-8, the second under-23 games of the Economic Community of West African States, ECOWAS takes now place from the 16th to the 22nd of June. The information is contained in a press release published recently by the ECOWAS Commission. The new dates were determined during a visit in Ghana by the ECOWAS delegate in charge of human development and gender, Dr Adrienne Diop. The games are a great opportunity for West African athletes to brace up for the 2012 Olympic Games to take place in London from July 27. The first edition was hosted in 2010 by Nigeria in four discipline notably, athletics, handball, volleyball and wrestling.
