Ghana: Results/standings of ECOWAS Games

The second edition of the games of the Economic Community of West Africa States, ECOWAS ended last Friday June 22 with the hosts; Ghana winning the title for the first time. They finished first with 37 medals followed by Nigeria who won 39 medals. Sierra Leone finished at the bottom of the tables with just a bronze medal.

General Standings

1^st Ghana: 37 medals (17 gold, 11 silver and 9 bronze)

2^nd Nigeria: 39 medals (13 gold, 16 silver and 6 bronze)

3^rd Senegal: 7 medals (4 gold, 1 silver and 2 bronze)

4^th Niger: 7 medals (2 gold, 2 silver and 3 bronze)

5^th Ivory Coast: 2 gold medals

6^th Benin: 3 medals (1gold and 2 bronze)

7^th Togo: 1 gold medal

8^th Burkina Faso: 3 bronze medals

9^th Liberia: 1 silver medal

10^th Mali: 5 bronze medals

11^th Sierra Leone: 1 bronze medal
