GSU, champions in Kenya, won their third match in a row after whipping Agosto of Angola in straight sets of 25-21, 25-22, 32-30. They now occupy the third position in Group B.

Meanwhile, Prisons had an impressive 3-0 (25-12, 25-17, 25-17) win over Omni Sport of Ivory Coast. The victory has rekindled their once dying hopes of qualify for the quarter finals of the competition. The Warders have lost just one out of their last three games.
