Kenya : Rudisha promise to bounce back in December
Olympic 800m champion and record holder David Rudisha has promised to make a great comeback from December and reclaim his lost glory.
Rudisha is expected to bounce back and start grabbing headlines. He say’s missing to be part of the Kenya team that finished third during last month IAAF world Championship held in Moscow,Russia was one of his greatest setback in his running career.
The 24 year old got injured after the Adidas Grand prix in New York in May and subsequently missed the IAAF World championships in Moscow.
Rudisha’s coach, Colm O’Connell, revealed the athlete is on road to fully recover after receiving special treatment in Germany.
“Doctors in Germany said it may take three weeks for him to recover and we thought he would have seven weeks of training. From what I have seen and the advice of his doctor he will resume training from December.” The coach said.
During his absence , Ethiopia’s Mohammed Aman won the world title in Moscow last month with the Kenya athletes failing to make it to the Semi finals.His absence served also as a major blow for Kenya who missed a Gold medal that should have steered Kenya to finish second in the medal tally.
