London Marathon: Extraordinary performance for Kenya
Barely two months to the start of the 2012 Olympic Games, are Kenyans promising a wonderful participation in London with a remarkable performance at the London marathon last weekend. Wilson Kipsang achieved the world second best record after finishing the London race in 2h04:44 followed by his compatriot Martin Lei (2h06:51) and Ethiopian Tsegaye Kebede (2h06:52). In total, they were three Kenyans to have made history at the London Marathon. Mary Keitany hit the world best fourth record (2h06:36). Edna Kiplagat and Priscah Jeptoo also finished before 2h21. With this performance, a great Kenyan participation is likely certain at the 2012 Olympic Games coming July in London.
