ASA qualified first in their Group as they had a significant 100-78 goal win over BCO of Boeny Wednesday while Challenger topped Group B by overpowering home side AS Saint Francois Xavier 85 goals to 75. Six other teams, three from each Group, have also made it to the elimination phase. According to the Vice-President of the Central Committee for Referees, the competition will serve as a forum for picking players for the national team.
