Madagascar/swimming: Magne Soa sets new 200m backstroke record

Magne Soa has beaten the Malagasy records in the 200-meters backstroke in 2 minutes 32.46 seconds during the national swimming championship which ended last Monday. She has beaten the 2:33.83 set by Fils Estellah Rabetsara during the 2011 world championship in Shanghai.

Estellah Rabetsara has however set a new record of 5:35.33 in the 400m and is considered one of the all-time best swimmers of the nation.
