Rwanda to send two swimmers for the Africa swimming event in Zambia

As part of their preparations for the 2016 Rio de Janeiro Olympic Games.Rwanda has opted to send two swimmers to next month’s Africa Junior Swimming Championships in Lusaka, Zambia.

The two swimmers that will represent Rwanda according to the Swimming Federation chairman Samuel Kinimba are Isaac Bebeto Irankunda and Christelle  Rwabukwandi.

Kinimba was quoted by Rwanda New Times saying that  owing to lack of funds,they could not send a  large number of swimmers.

At the moment,we shall settle with the two swimmers.We know  they will give us  good  representation.We are using the Zambia event  as part of their reparation for the 2016 Rio de Janeiro Olympoc Games.

Rwanda expects stiff competition from Egypt,South Africa, Algeria ,Uganda, hosts Zambia,Tanzania, and Algeria during the event.   Zambia was considered to host the junior championships by CANA because of the good facilities.
