According to the 1986 African champion in 100m, it is inadmissible that athletics, which had fetch Senegal a silver medal at the Olympics, gold at the world championships and several medals at the African championships, to have only qualified one athlete for the London 2012 as of yet.

Amadou Mbagnick also lamented that it was unlike Senegal to have qualified only two athletes for the last world championships.

As a solution to the problem Amadou Mbagnick, who is based in France, has called on former Senegalese champions Amy Mbacké Thiam( 2001 world champion in 400m) and Moussa Fall to get engaged in the countries athletics.
