On the back of a defeat to Eumeu Sene, Gaye brushed off Yahya Diop aka Yekini to end his 15-year unbeaten run.

Prior to his bundling down, television replays showed Yekini’s knees first landing on the heap sands with Bala Gaye also tumbling and missing his footing but the referee called for a continuation.
