Toyota donates brand new vehicle to KRU

The Kenya Rugby Union (KRU) officials must be rubbing their hands with glee after receiving an early new year gift from Toyota Kenya who handed over a brand new vehicle.
The van is meant to carry members of the technical bench during their training sessions and International matches.
KRU Chairman Mwangi Muthee thanked Toyota Kenya for the donation. He said other corporates were willing to partner with the union in promoting rugby 15s and called on other corporates to identify with rugby for a partnership.
The chairman said the government had allocated land to the union situated at the Moi International Sports Centre, Kasarani which will be used to develop the Toyota Kenya sponsored under 19 Academy.
“The academy has contributed immensely to the development of rugby and as a feeder to the current crop of senior players and in that respect we want to use the land to develop the junior programme,” he said.
Handing over the car, Toyota Kenya chairman Ambasadeur Dennis Awori said they will extend their gesture from the under 19 academy and national sevens team to the 15 aside.
