Uganda’s Stephen Kiprotich receives $ 80,000 for Olympic gold

Kiprotich, a warder by profession, arrived Kampala today where a crowd gave him a heroic welcome at the airport with patriotic songs and waves of the national flags.

After delivering a speech at the airport he left for the presidential lodge where he had lunch with the president who promised to promote the “golden boy” at his jobsite and to build a two bed-room house for his parents.
