Zambia Boxing Board suspends star trainer Mwamba
The Zambia Professional Boxing and Wrestling Board of Control has handed a three-month suspension to boxing trainer Anthony Mwamba f for bringing the organization into disrepute.
The Board alleged that Mwamba has been working without a licence, which it claims is a constituitional violation and the suspension means he can not renew his licence for the next three months.
Board secretary general Ben Saili announced that Mwambda has been suspended for 90 days after violating their constitution.
Thus, any boxer under Mwamba’s leadership would seek a new trainer temporarily for the next three months before the suspension expires.
Mwamba has immensely helped Zambia’s female boxing star Esther Phiri in winning close to a dozen belt in a five year career.
