Champions Red Arrows put up a splendid performance to win the defence forces derby and move into joint second position with Lusaka, who suffered their first league defeat following six successive victories to amass 23 points and trail unbeaten Diggers by five points. ‘Killer Bees’ Ndola Wanderers finally got their first win of the season, beating Green Eagles 20-16 in a match that saw Eagles player Tom Chaloba rushed to Ndola General Hospital after sustaining a nasty injury that left his ear cut badly. In Kitwe, undisputed Zambian rugby kings Diggers remained on course to win their first title in five years.
