After the first draw at home against Cameroon, it seems that Algeria will have to win the upcoming game this weekend against Nigeria to maintain its chances to qualify to the World Cup.

The Super Eagles won the first game and they already have a psychological advantage compared to their opponents. However, John Obi Mikel insisted that the Nigerian national team should stay focused in this game.

“We have to be focused in this game and make sure we get the result. I think we are a very good side, we have a very young team, maybe just one or two couple of experienced players”. Mikel told Goal website.

On the other hand, Algeria will count on its players readiness and motivation to win this crucial game. The Fennecs suffered many injuries in the last weeks, however, Nabil Bentaleb said that Algeria is still able to beat the Nigerians in this game.

“It’s a very tough game against Nigeria. They have a lot of talented players. We don’t have the right to make any mistake. We will show what we’re capable of”. Bentaleb told APS.

The clash will be held in Uyo stadium on Saturday, starting from 4pm(GMT).
