AC Milan is one of the teams which went into the transfer window with a lot of plans. The club has been suffering in recent years both on and off the pitch and are now looking to change their story after a change in management. Andre Silva is close to completing a 38 million Euro signing from Porto to Milan as he looks to undergo a medical.
FC Porto’s main reason for selling their start man is due to financial difficulties and sanctions which the club is facing and they are being forced to let go the player for a fee well below his release clause. So the Italian side are lucky to be getting Silva at the current price.
The 21-year old striker was in prolific form throughout the 2016/17 season, both in the league and the Champions League and it is mainly for his performances that the Serie A side are looking to get his services.
Andre Silva is already the 4th Milan signing this season after Mateo Musacchio, Ricardo Rodriguez and Franck Kessie and the Italian side don’t seem to be slowing down anytime soon. The head coach, Vincenzo Montella, who has been put in charge of this transformation has made it clear he is ready for the job and will make the best possible signings to compete during the next season for glory.
