AC Milan have officially signed the Villareal centre-back, Mateo Musacchio for a reported fee of 18 million euros as their first official signing of the summer, in an attempt to rebuild their squad. Mateo joined Villareal since 2009 and have had a relatively successful time with the club.
After finishing 6th in the league, the only chance AC Milan have in Europe is with the Europa League. The club has been suffering for the past years and are really desperate to get back to their best form which has seen them lift the Serie A title 18 times and the Champions League 7 times among many other trophies.
The 26-year old is the first of presumably many signings of Vincenzo Montella’s side and they have a lot to do in also retaining some of their star men, especially the shot stopper Gianluigi Donnarumma who has been heavily linked with a move to Manchester United.
Another player on AC Milan’s radar is the 20-year old Atalanta midfielder, Franck Kessie. His signing could be completed as soon as next week.
