Africa’s world cup qualifiers are coming to an end and teams are giving it all to secure their 2018 World Cup spot.
3 teams could indeed guarantee their Russia trip on match day 5 and they are Tunisia, Egypt and Nigeria.
The eagles of Carthage only one win away
Tunisia secured four points the Democratic Republic of Congo last month and are indeed in pole position to advance and that will only happen with a win away in Guinea this weekend if the DRC fail to beat Libya in Monastir. The Carthage Eagles need four points to guarantee their spot amoung the biggest, while the Leopards realistically need to take a maximum six points from their matches and hope Tunisia lose or draw in the games remaining.
The Super Eagles on the right path
Algeria and Cameroon are already eliminated in what is called the ‘Group of Death’, Nigeria on the other hand are doing really really good in this world cup qualifying stage and a win away from the 2018 greatest meeting. a draw would leave them potentially in need for a win away in Algeria in their final game.
What’s a World Cup without the Pharaohs ?
Egypt is waiting to end 28-year wait in wilderness for a world cup spot and this might be the chance for their football team to secure a place in Russia if they manage to get a home victory over Congo Brazzaville if Uganda fail to collect maximum points against visiting Ghana.
