RB Leipzig have shown just how determined they are to keep Naby Keita, as they have already rejected a 57 million pound bid for him, from Liverpool. The case seemed to have died down, but the player also seems to want the move, as he is expected to nicely and very respectfully ask to leave the club.
Naby Keita was one of the best players in the Bundesliga last season as he featured in the Bundesliga team of the season at the midfield position. He was very instrumental in the club’s success last season as they finished shockingly second in the top league after just gaining promotion. Jurgen Klopp has seen a complete, all round midfielder in the Guinea International and is willing to break the bank for him and make him the most expensive transfer of the season.
The 22-year old is good with tackles, passes, and is a “box-to-box” midfielder among many other qualities. This is why the club’s Sporting Director, Ralf Rangnick, has frequently said that Keita is not for sale and even a 3 figure sum won’t convince them to do so. It will be more difficult for Liverpool to get their most wanted man, if the club doesn’t change their stands on the player. There is just a little bit of hope, as it is believed not everyone at the club supports the idea of keeping the player even among the big money request.
Well, just like Klopp has always said, it is clear that Liverpool will be patient till the end. Probably they will be preparing a more tempting sum while waiting for the club to change their mind or at least for Keita to officially help force a move.
