The 21 year old, who is on loan from Chelsea has been on form this year for both his club Ajax Amsterdam and his country Burkina Faso. He put up a great individual performance in an overall extraordinary performance showcased by his country, during the 2017 AFCON in Gabon. They were one of the teams that went into the competition as underdogs, but their performances against Guinea, Ghana, Tunisia and even against Egypt who knocked them out in the semi-finals, proved how good and prepared they were. And Bertrand Traore was arguably their best player of the tournament.
Traore was also very influential in qualifying his club to the Europa League finals with brilliant performances against teams like Lyon. Now it’s just a matter of time, and he would step into the pitch to play one of the most important matches in his life so far. The Europa League finals which takes place on the 24th of May in Stockholm promises to be a classic as Manchester United hopes to use the trophy to qualify for the Champions League 2017/18.
No matter the outcome of the finals, Traore’s future looks bright because Ajax could try to keep him on a permanent deal or Antonio could call him back to his squad which seems to be on a very promising run. Either ways, there is good news for the rising African star.
