New CAF President, Ahmad Ahmad, believes that many changes have to take place in order to improve the actual situation of African football.

The president talked about the African Cup of Nations that is being organized once per two years: “If the majority supports the idea of changing the competition date or rules, there’s no problem with that”.

Ahmad Ahmad also said that he doesn’t have the intention of staying for too long as a president: “I don’t guarantee that I will stay for another candidature here. However, I can say that staying here for three consecutive terms will be impossible. I want to enjoy my life!”.

He finished his talk by saying: “The African football needs many changes. I totally support the proposition of th international federation to increase the number of the national teams in the World Cup starting from 2026”.
