Former FC Barcelona‘s Daniel Alves talked about the reasons that pushed him to leave the Catalan club last summer. The Brazilian defender said that the club managers disrespected him and that they were ungrateful to him.
“I want to be loved otherwise, I leave. During the last three seasons, I’ve been hearing that I’m going to leave the club but they didn’t say anything to me. They were liars and ungrateful to me, they asked me to stay only after the FIFA ban when they knew that they will be unable to bring new players. Barcelona managers don’t have any idea of how to treat their players!”.
Alves added: “My relationship with Ronaldo? The press is always trying to make up some stories. However, we respect each other. We’re only competing as any other players”.
