Ghana would be hoping to get centre back John Boye fit for next month’s crucial 2014 World Cup qualifier against Zambia after the defender made his return from injury by playing for the reserves of French Ligue 1 side Rennes.
The defender even grabbed an equaliser late into injury time to salvage a point for the reserves in their 1-1 draw.
The defender is fighting his way back to full fitness after missing the start of the French Ligue 1 with a muscle injury prompting him to eventually withdraw from Ghana’s friendly against Turkey on August 14.
His availability could be a big boss for Ghana coach Kwesi Appiah who already has Issac Vorsah ruled out of the Zambia game through injury.
Ghana must avoid defeat against Zambia September 6 in order to reach the final qualifying round of the 2014 FIFA World Cup qualifiers.
