Being unable to win a single trophy this season does not seem to upset Pep Guardiola. The Spanish coach believes that his experience in England enabled him to improve a lot as a manager.
It is Guardiola’s first “blank season” after winning 12 trophies with FC Barcelona and Bayern Munchen.
In an interview with “Sky Sports”, Guardiola said: “Not being able to win any trophy this season doesn’t make me a bad coach. I think that I became better than before. I learned a lot and I gained more experience. I also learned how to deal with difficult situations”.
He added: “Not winning any trophy is a wonderful thing after nine years. In Spain, some big clubs will not win a single trophy this season”.
