Well, its Jose Mourinho and yes it is Manchester United. What do they have in common?

Jose Mourinho has already won the Premier League, thrice, for that matter and Manchester United too has won the title a record 20 times. But Jose Mourinho has never won the title with Manchester United… ohhhhh he has just been there for one season.

Mourinho joined Manchester United last season, and didn’t quite change their fortune in the Premier League as he finished 6th, but somehow, he still managed to save the season and qualify for the Champions League after winning the Europa. But if there is one thing which Manchester United fans and board will want from the Portuguese Manager, it will be to return to Premier League Glory or at least title contenders as they were under Sir Alex Ferguson.

As the new season starts in 3-days time, the question which Manchester United fans and the board will ask, is if they are ready to win the Premier League this season. The club has been active during the transfer window and have brought in some quality players to increase their chances.

The club has bought 3 main players during this transfer window…Romelu Lukaku from Everton, Nemanja Matic from Chelsea and Victor Lindelof from Benfica. But they have also sold Wayne Rooney back to his former club Everton and have left Zlatan Ibrahimovic to leave, even though there is still a slight chance he might remain with them.

One good striker, one good midfielder and one good defender have been added. But to be honest, it doesn’t seem to be good enough to help Manchester United compete for the title this year especially as they will also have to play in the Champions League.

The good news is that the transfer window is still quite open and the club have shown interest in some players like Sergi Roberto and Ivan Perisic amongst many others. Which players they will add between now and the end of the month could play a big role in their season.

The Red devils start the season on Sunday the 13th, against West Ham at the Old Trafford
